Sensibly Styled

This was a fun and simple button (and header) I made for Sensibly Styled. It's a great new website with ladies that dig through clothing retailers online and find the cutest, most modest (and usually good-priced) items. It's like having a smart girlfriend with good taste shop for you. Oh, and one of the founders just happens to be a smart girlfriend of mine (with good taste) and lived with me for 6 months and ran a half-marathon with me this Summer! Check it out.

Ashlee Frisby: photographic genius

My sister-in-law is graduating this semester with her BFA in photography. She's pretty much awesome and since she's family (and I owe her for taking our engagement photos) I designed her these simple invitations for the BFA show. If you're in Rexburg, go check her out! Or if you're staying indoors (Rexburg is frigid!) then check her out here.

Doggy Cards

It's no secret that I love my Airedale Terrier. Here's some other breeds I've done cards for as well. They are now for sale in my Etsy shop!

Thursday, August 6, 2009

I've been doing a lot more illustrating lately, more than usual, for a job I'm doing. It's been pretty fun. Here are a few of my favorite illustrations. Some are little sketched cartoons, but most have been vector illustrations.

New items on Etsy

Here's some of my newer items in my Etsy shop. I decided maybe I should start doing greeting cards, because not everyone needs a custom item made (business card, wedding invite, etc.) and it's easier for me to show/give away samples.

"Thoinks". One of those moments when I thought I was kinda funny.
I have an Airedale Terrier. They are the goofiest dogs and always seem to be smiling and saying "hi!" I'm a dog person. Can you tell? Next on my list (by request): Portuguese Water Dog, West Highland Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier. The line art is my own pen, and the painting was done in Photoshop.
I recently designed these for a giveaway for my Etsy team. I'm the designated designer for the group and have designed the blog and other stationery we've needed. This is a coordinating set of 4 different types of greeting cards, so you have something for almost every occasion. I think the congrats one would work well for a new baby, a wedding, just about anything.

Frisby Fabrication

Logo for Frisby Fabrication, my husband's welding and metal fabrication business. Obviously I had to take advantage of the two "F"s in the logo mark, and I had fun coming up with this. It looks manly right? It's supposed to.

Cute lil' buggy garden sketch

These next ones just make me laugh. Completely unrelated except they were each fun to draw.

This is work done in the last 8-ish months.

This is for Solavei, a new all-natural, healthy, makes you feel good juice.

This is for Adventure Playground, a pro-bono project. It will be an all-abilities playground built entirely by community volunteers. It will have lots of stuff to play on for kids with and without disabilities, so everyone gets to share the same park.

This is a logo for, you guessed it, Green River Refining.

This is the website I designed.

Here's the other choice that wan't chosen. I kinda like it.

This is another website, for Milieu design. It's cooler than this one image--it's what I grabbed.

Lighthouse Pointe is a new development in Bear Lake that will be really cute with big Craftsman style homes. I was going for an antique/coastal feel. The other logos are for one of the communities, and the commercial area.

I was going through my old sketchbook after it was retired...these are some of the few realistic sketches I have. Most are pretty goofy.

AJ watching TV

Looked at a cute photo I had.

Uncle Jesse might be borderline goofy... I used this drawing and painted him in black puffy paint on a t-shirt years ago. What can I say? I had style.
